Mom convinced Dad to take a LONG drive the other day. She wanted to see about a Dog Park in a place called Gilbert. It was 45 minutes away from us. (Which may not seem very far, except you have to remember, we don't go very far from home these days. Everything we need is so close.) But this park was supposed to have 17 acres and a lake! Mom said that maybe it would be like the one she saw in Seattle, when she visited my Uncle Bill and Aunt Jill. They had a HUGE park with rivers and woods and lots of people walking with their dogs off leash. She was hoping this would be like that.
When we got there, I really liked it, 'cuz it had a big lake where I could sit and be really cool.
But this is the desert. There weren't many trees and no brooks or rivers. And the 17 acres were all separated into different sections of the park, so it was hard for Mom and Dad to walk around. I know Mom was a little disappointed. But I liked it.
I met some fun guys who ran with me.
And Mom met a yellow lab that kept following her. (She had treats in her back pack and Yellow Lab could smell them. I could tell he just wanted her for her treats.)
