Games by Guinness

I've always said that I make up the best games.  So I'm going to tell you about some of my favorite Guinness Games.

First is Hide and Find Me.  I know about Hide and Seek, but I don't seek very well.  Mom tried it with me and she hid in a curtain.  I looked and looked and looked.  I could hear her when she asked Dad if I was looking, but I couldn't find her.  Her smell is all over the house, and it's hard to figure it out.  So I finally sat down till she came out.  It wasn't fun.

So instead, I play Hide and Find Me.  One of my favorite places to hide is right in full sight where they can't see me.

See, here I am pretending to be one of the pillows.  Can you even see me?  I'm the brown pillow in the middle with ears.  Couldn't find me at first, could you?

Then, I sometimes like to hide out in the yard.  Can you see me here?

You probably can't, so let me show you where I was before I slipped into my hiding spot.  Then you'll see how I could hide so well.

Can you see me now?

Then I like to play Keep Away.  Partly, I like to just keep the ball away from Mom and Dad and partly I like to make them chase me around the house and yard.  So I combined both, and I run all around the house and sometimes, right in front of Mom, but she can't catch me!

I could do that one for hours.  But Mom can't.  Sometimes I give her the ball so she can throw it for me and then we go at it again.  I LOVE this game.

But the absolute funnest game I've invented is Fight for the Bed with Dad.  That's when I get on the bed at night when Mom and Dad are getting ready.  I wait until Dad turns the water on to brush his teeth.  Then I know he's almost ready to get into bed, .  So next, I hop over real quick and curl up on his pillows.

Then when he comes into bed, I pretend not to see him.  Mom always laughs and Dad tells me I'm a bad dog and to get out of his spot.  But I know he's just playing by the rules, 'cuz that's what he's supposed to say.  At that point I don't move and he tries to push me over to my spot on the bed.  We wrestle and I lick his nose and he laughs.  Yes, that's a really fun game.

I have a lot of other games I like to play, but we'll just save those for later.  For now, go out and have fun with your humans and your furry friends.

Love, G.
