Keep Away

I love games.  Especially when I can get another puppy dog to play with me.  (Or if I can't, I know my Mom will play with me.  She's a champ!)

But I just learned a game.  I should have known how to play it before, because my friend in Arizona, Ozzie (remember Ozzie?  The beautiful Australian Shepherd?), he tried to teach me.  But I wasn't getting it.  Maybe because he was in control.  When I got to be in control, I really got it.  Here's how it went:

Mom took me to the Dog Park (Yay!  I LOVE the dog park!)  But I digress.   (That means I run on and on about stuff that doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about.  Mom told me I do that a lot and I'm trying to stop it, but it's very hard.  When I think of something, I just run with it.  Uh oh.  Now I can't remember what I was going to say.  Oh, yeah, about the Dog Park thing.)

We got to the Dog Park, and I met a bunch of new dogs again.  I love that about the Dog Park.  Some days there are a lot of dogs I know, and some days there are a bunch of new ones.  This was one of the days when I didn't know the dogs.

First, I put out my Frizbee.  (I have a GREAT frizbee!  It's red and flexible, and it will not break!)
Then, I pretended that I didn't really care about the Frizbee.  That's really important.  You have to show that it doesn't mean anything to you.

So I let the Frizbee go and I acted like I couldn't care less:

Then I presented the Frizbee to Izzie.  (Another Izzie, just like I used to be.  And the puppy down the street.  Uh, oh, I'm diverging again.  Sorry).

But we had a grand ol' time.  Just pulling and tugging and rolling around.  It was great.  My friend Ozzie would have been proud of me.  He thought I would never get the hang of Tug-of-War, but I did!  Just wait till I get back to Arizona, Ozzie!  I'll be waiting for you!

Oh, what fun!  (Hope the Frizbee survives!)

Love to all,  G
